Heart of Borneo
with Royal Ontario Museum

The Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) is among the world’s leading institutions with a focus on natural history and world cultures.

The Royal Ontario Museum sent an expedition team of scientists to the world’s third largest island, nestled between Southeast Asia and Australia, to learn about insects, bats, and mushrooms.

Retrace the steps of a 1978 expedition by the Royal Geographical Society to keep up with the ROM scientists and document the whole expedition—from the museum’s doorstep to the swamps of the rainforest.

Evermaven deployed a two-person MAVEN team to Borneo and then produced a documentary film of the expedition.
