The Kayapo indigenous peoples of the Brazilian Amazon defend one of the largest tropical protected areas in the world, covering more than 11 million hectares of pristine rainforest. They are culture rooted in tradition with a great sense of living sustainably. NRG Home Solar is wholly owned by NRG Energy, a company that owns and operates one of America’s largest power generation and retail electricity businesses. With a thorough understanding of the market and deep industry experience, NRG is focused on making solar energy an easy and affordable solution for homeowners.

Acquire permission from the Kayapo to land in their territory—in the heart of the Brazilian Amazon—to make a film series about their culture, in particular, their sustainable lifestyle facing the encroaching pressure from external sources that conflict with this way of life. Use this film to support a renewable energy campaign run by NRG Home Solar.

Evermaven collaborated with the Kayapo and NRG Home Solar to share a narrative about independence, courage, and leadership and how these two groups could learn from one another. The documentary film series made for an online audience is narrated by NGR Home Solar’s Zbigniew Barwicz whose journey to the Amazon included a collaboration with the International Conservation Fund of Canada, a Canadian non-profit working for rainforest conservation.
