with Maine Farmland Trust

The Growing Local film series in partnership with Seedlight Pictures and Maine Farmland Trust continues to screen through-out North America.

/01CONTEXT

Seeding A Dream helps us realize the value that young farmers bring to our communities. Pig Not Pork is a portrait of a local food movement in transition and an entrepreneur willing to take risks to create the kind of world we will want to live—and eat—in. Changing Hands highlights the human cost of operating a farm in a culture of cheap food and ponders the fate of the small-scale family farm.

/02CHALLENGE

The Growing Local film series already had a strong emotional connection with audiences accredited to the filmmakers pursuit and selection of the leading characters. Evermaven needed to produce animated sequences to emphasize key messaging while complementing this emotive tone.

/03SOLUTION

Evermaven used original illustrations with a specific style to enhance character development and we used short animated scenes to emphasize key elements of the overarching narrative. These short animated sequences were interspersed throughout the films when explicit strategic messaging was needed.
