Summary
The Growing Local film series in partnership with Seedlight Pictures and Maine Farmland Trust continues to screen through-out North America. Seeding A Dream helps us realize the value that young farmers bring to our communities and better understand the challenges these farmers face. Pig Not Pork is a portrait of a local food movement in transition and an entrepreneur willing to take risks to create the kind a world we will want to live (and eat) in. And, Changing Hands highlights the human cost of operating a farm in a culture of cheap food, and ponders the fate of the local food movement and working farmland if small-scale family farms cannot survive in the industrialized food system.

Challenge
Growing Local already had a strong emotional component to it accredited to the filmmakers pursuit and selection of the leading characters. Evermaven needed to complement this emotion with peripheral storytelling aspects while staying true to the authentic feel and tone of the film series.

Solution
Evermaven created original illustrations and produced motion graphic segments that were interspersed throughout the series at moments when the films narrative asked for additional emotion and attention to specific messaging.
