Summary
Oceana Canada partners with researchers, non-governmental organizations, the federal government, Indigenous Peoples, and the fishing industry to study sensitive marine habitats and advocate for their protection. This is essential for the future of our planet: it supports healthy, productive ecosystems, and the recovery of depleted fish populations that coastal communities depend on.

Challenge
Make a map-integrated digital website platform to share the expedition with Canadians across the country.

Solution
Evermaven traversed the BC coastline, visited with First Nations, and spent time at sea to capture the raw and candid moments on film that tell a tale of collaboration and scientific exploration. The film series highlighted the research conducted, the diversity that exists at ocean depths, and led audiences to a call to action. Evermaven developed, designed, and used a map integrated digital platform to garner national and regional media coverage, and grow a base of support among Canadians through compelling images, video footage, and storytelling that we shared in real time.
