/01CONTEXT

Oceana Canada partners with researchers, non-governmental organizations, the federal government, Indigenous peoples, and the fishing industry to study sensitive marine habitats and advocate for their protection. Canada has surpassed its marine conservation target of protecting 10% of our marine and coastal areas, in accordance with the Convention on Biological Diversity’s Aichi Target 11, but only marginally. More needs to be done to keep our oceans—and us—healthy.

Make a map-integrated digital platform to share the findings of intrepid marine expeditions with Canadians across the country.

/03SOLUTION

Evermaven developed, designed, and used a map integrated digital platform to garner national and regional media coverage, and grow a base of support among Canadians through compelling images, video footage, and storytelling that we shared in real time.
